Come to the cool mountain town of Payson, Arizona, for the fourth annual Payson Book Festival–a free, community-wide celebration of books and literacy, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Saturday, July 21, 2018, at the Mazatzal Hotel and Casino, Hwy 87 mile marker 251,  Payson, AZ.

This family-friendly event offers book-lovers of all ages an opportunity to meet more than 80 Arizona authors who will sign and sell both fiction and non-fiction books.  Enjoy workshops and seminars that highlight your favorite authors, entertainment, food and door prizes.

“Buckshot Dot” will share her original western poetry and songs. Other presenters include Liz Warren, fourth-generation Arizonan and storyteller, who will spin tales, YA author Jannette Rallison, science fiction author J.L. Doty, author and screenwriter Tom Morrison and Arizona Professional Writer author Patricia Brooks. Kids can meet the Cat in the Hat and Story Monster at storytime sessions.

The Rim Country chapter of Arizona Professional Writers (APW), a non-profit organization, is partnering with Majestic Rim Retirement Living to present this event. A portion of the proceeds will benefit local scholarship programs. Participating literacy groups include: First Things First, Rim Country Literacy, Southwest Human Development, Dolly Parton Imaginarium, and local libraries.
