Arizona Working Group on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) Librarians

By Jessica Jenner

Dear Arizona Library Association,

I am writing on behalf of SciTech Institute to invite you to join the new Arizona Working Group on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) Librarians. The aim of this group is to provide and facilitate a platform where librarians and library partners can come together to discuss, provide resources, and take action to improve access to STEM education, learning tools, and out-of-class opportunities.

Current facilitation of this group is through Slack, Google Drive, and Zoom, where members have access to an online forum, shared resources, and the group’s listserv. This working group will host monthly virtual meetings, where members are invited to discuss issues, share opportunities for collaboration, and develop community impact plans and projects.

Anyone who is engaged or interested in library programs as they relate to STEM education and opportunity is welcome to join, and we would greatly appreciate your input.

If you are interested in participating in the Arizona Working Group on STEM Librarians, please fill out this interest form, or reach out to me directly at cconway@scitechinstitute.org. We would also sincerely appreciate your sharing this opportunity with others in your network who may be interested, as we are intending to build a state-wide network of resources, ideas, and innovative thinkers.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,
Claire Conway
