The AzLA Professional Development Committee is kicking off 2016 with a webinar series. Michelle Simon presented “Connect to Success: Job Help in a Box” and “Connect to Your Passion: Creating Your Dream Job @ Your Library” on February 16 and 18, respectively. Both presentations were well-received. These webinars, and previous webinars provided by the Professional Development Committee, can all be viewed on the AzLA YouTube channel.
Our next two webinar sessions are “Pow! Your Point,” presented by Cherise Mead and Sara Lipich, on March 17 and “Libraries Transform,” presented by the Marketing & Advocacy Committee, on April 28. The Professional Development Committee has also approved funding to bring a workshop on library consulting, Nancy Bolt and Liz Bishoff’s “Assembling a Consulting Toolkit,” to Phoenix on April 12. Registration for these programs and more will be found on the State Library’s Events page.
The Professional Development Committee would also like to hear from you. What sort of professional development opportunities would you like to see in Arizona? Take our survey by May 1st and let us know!
Proposals for program funding can always be submitted to the Committee.
