Behind the Counter Virtual Conference, April 5

By Paula Wilson and Becky Brendel

Can’t get away for training, but would love to learn alongside your fellow Arizona library colleagues? Whether you would like to know how to start a wi-fi hotspot lending program, learn some strategies for conflict management, or fine-tune your customer service skills, the Virtual Conference has something for everyone. Behind the Counter focuses on professional development for front-line and paraprofessional library staff.

Other programs of interest include Yuma County Library District’s sensory story time program, hosting authors, e-content and Overdrive, and working with teens. The session Empowering Arizona Library Staff, presented by Arizona State Library, will feature with resources available to you including professional development opportunities, statewide programs like Summer Reading and Get Involved, grant funding, technology training, and access to online resources.

The conference will take place Thursday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Programs will be offered on two tracks, both via WebEx. Participants may sign up for programs on each track and switch back and forth throughout the Virtual Conference. They will receive individual logins for each program they choose to attend. Register today!
