AzLA Partners with ALA on joint student membership program

By Don Wood

Forty-six state library associations (ALA Chapters) partner with the American Library Association (ALA) to offer a joint student membership program, which allows students engaged in a program of study or certification in MLS/MLIS, CAEP and LTA programs for no more than five total years to join ALA and one participating ALA Chapter for one low membership rate.

A one-year joint student membership currently costs $42. These membership dues are valid through Aug. 31, 2019. The program has been an ALA student member benefit since 2004.

The Arizona Library Association is one of the ALA Chapters participates in the joint student membership program.
